13th - 17th May 2024 - SATs Week
SATs week for our children in Year 6.
Monday: Comprehension.
Tuesday: Grammar, punctuation and spelling.
Wednesday: Arithmetic and Reasoning Paper 1
Thursday: Reasoning Paper 2.
The children in Year 6 are welcome to come and have breakfast at school from 8:30am onwards.
24th May 2024 – School Closes for Half-Term
School closes for the half-term on Friday 24th May at 3:20pm. We wish you a restful holiday.
School opens at 8:50am on Monday 3rd June. Gates open at 8:40am.
10th – 14th June 2024 – Sports Day
During this week, the children will take part in their sports day – good luck to everyone in their event. Who will be the winning house?
During that week, the children will also take part in a Pro Strike event.
More details about this event will follow.
18th June 2024 - Eid Parties
The children can come to school wearing their own clothes for their Eid Party Lunch and their Eid party in the afternoon. Make sure that your child wears appropriate footwear. Children who do not normally have a school dinner may order one that day. A letter will be sent with more details closer to the time.
19th and 20th June - Eid Assembly
Years 3 to 6 will perform their Eid Assembly to their parents on these days. A letter about the times of the performances and how to get tickets will be sent nearer the time.
Entrance will be by ticket only – 1 per family.
Please be punctual for your performance as there is no admittance after the performance has started.
3rd July - Summer Fair
Join us from 3:30pm – 5:00pm for our annual Summer Fair. There will be lots of stalls from food, cakes, face painting, games and tombolas! There will also be an opportunity to soak a teacher and have a go on our bouncy slide.

16th July 2024 - 100% Attendance Party
There will be a special lunchtime treat to Pizza Hut today for all of the children who have attained 100% attendance this year.
Well done to all of the children who have achieved 100% attendance!

16th July 2024 - House Prize
The winning house will be announced and the lucky house winners will be having a picnic afternoon for obtaining the most house points this year.

17th July 2024 - Attendance Prize
The ice-cream van will be visiting school in the afternoon of the 17th!
The Early Years and Key Stage 1 class winner and the Key Stage 2 class winner will be rewarded with an ice-cream to celebrate their good attendance.

18th July 2024 - Year 6 Leavers' Assembly

The Year 6 children will perform their Leavers’ Assembly to their parents.
Information regarding times for the performance will be sent out nearer the time.
This will be a chance for the children and the parents to celebrate their time at Burnley Brow.
19th July 2024 - Certificate Assembly
Certificates will be awarded to children from each class for Effort, Achievement and Always.
Well done to all of the children who were nominated by their teachers. Attendance is by invitation only.
22nd July 2024 - School Closes
School closes for the summer holidays at 2pm.
